Register for CMA's 30th Annual Legislative Leadership Day
[Updated 03/25/04]

Want to know how the historical shake-up at the state Capitol will affect health care and the practice of medicine in California? Find out at CMA’s 30th Annual Legislative Leadership Day on Wednesday, April 28, in Sacramento.

This leadership conference will bring more than 500 physicians together to review major legislative issues affecting patients and physicians in California. As always, the day’s schedule will allow time for physicians to walk to the Capitol and meet face-to-face with their legislators for frank discussions of state and local health care issues.

Special on the agenda this year, state politics will be discussed by a panel of experts, including Arianna Huffington, author and gubernatorial candidate; Jason Kenney, communications director for former Gov. Gray Davis; and Dan Schnur, Republican strategist and visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley. The discussion will be moderated by Greg Lucas, the San Francisco Chronicle’s Sacramento Bureau Chief.

Also speaking at the conference will be California Health and Human Services Secretary Kimberly S. Belshé. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez have been invited to address the conference.
