Qualifying Dates for CIGNA Claims Have Caused Some Confusion
[Posted 09/16/04]

Physicians who have already filed under the CIGNA settlement’s Category A Fund have until February 1 to withdraw their Category A claim and refile under the Claim Distribution Fund. The “Category A Claim Form Withdrawal” document is available online. You should only drop a Category A claim if you are certain that you are eligible under the Claim Distribution Fund and you are able to document that your claims were improperly downcoded, bundled, or denied based on medical necessity.
