IMQ Conference on Medical Staff and Hospital Collaboration a Huge Success; Second Meeting Scheduled for February
[Posted 05/26/05]
IMQ’s first presentation of “Medical Staff and Hospital Collaboration in Performance Measurement and Quality of Care” was a huge success. The event, held May 20-21 in Newport Beach, was attended by a dynamic group of medical staff leaders and administrators from hospitals throughout California.
“A great deal of creative discussion occurred about ways for hospitals and physicians to partner together to improve quality, to improve relationships, and to build a different kind of future,” says CMA CEO Jack Lewin, M.D., who was one of the keynote speakers. “It was truly one of the more educationally rewarding events I have recently attended.”
Medical staff and hospital leaders engaged in partner-to-partner dialogues over the future of their relationships and how they can work together as partners to improve quality of care in more effective and clinically appropriate ways.
The next meeting is being planned for February 2006. Stay tuned for more details.
