For More Information

For more information, visit the members-only website. From there, select “Reimbursement Advocacy,” which is under “Physician Advocacy” in the main menu.

Physicians are encouraged before making any major health care information technology (HIT) purchase to access KLAS Enterprises’ customer satisfaction data. KLAS is a Utah-based company that compiles comprehensive data on HIT products, including electronic medical record, transcription, billing and scheduling, and other office systems. All KLAS ratings are based on user surveys. The data allows physicians to evaluate HIT products based on the experience of physician users and other professionals and help them select the best products for their practices.

“We encourage physicians to access KLAS’s unbiased and constantly updated information to see for themselves what other physicians are saying about the technology,” says Nileen Verbeten, vice president of CMA’s Center for Economic Services. “I recently received a glowing recommendation for a particular EMR from a consultant. But using KLAS data, I found out that physicians using the this system disagreed with the consultant’s evaluation.”

CMA has partnered with KLAS to provide this HIT satisfaction data to members at a significant discount. Some of KLAS’s data is available free to members. All that’s required is that you share with KLAS your practice’s experience with at least one of your current software vendors by filling out a 40-question survey.
